Exodus.
Part I: Flight Lesson - Oil on canvas, 205 x 270cm, January 2022.

In this work the characters bear number marks on their shoulders or insignia, which, like the fallen flag, refer to some military order and to a shattered society made up of refugees and migrants. But it is an appeal to hope: it reflects on sharing, learning and building a joint Future, based on cooperation and union. Also linking the human plane to the animal, in a combination of vitals forces.

Nesta obra as personagens ostentam marcas de números nos ombros ou insígnias, que, tal como a bandeira tombada, remetem para alguma ordem militar e para uma sociedade estilhaçada composta por refugiados e migrantes. Mas é um apelo à esperança: reflete sobre a partilha, aprendizagem e construção de um Futuro conjunto, assente na cooperação e na união. Vinculando também o plano humano ao animal, numa conjugação de forças vitais.
